Quicklinks is a AJAX enabled application which makes it easy to quickly go to your favourite websites by entering tags. It autocompletes entries by showing a list of matches and allows the user to navigate in this list and select the website go to.
Although this idea is nothing new and in fact copied from others (Kim, Pieter), this version of quicklinks is also able to find favicons and display them. It also allows for administrative tasks such as add/modify/remove links and favicons through the single quicklinks input box (authorized via HTTP Basic Authentication). It can be easily extended by adding modules which process commands. One such module is the Addressbook module which can search my private addressbook and show it's results (including name, address, photo)
